Yugoslavia & Greece January 1991

A trip involving myself (Poodle) & Graham Belton (Peckham) we were keen on sampling the mainline MLW's & narrow gauge Alco's in Greece, due to the high cost of direct flights to Greece we booked on the first ever "Ski" flight to Nis in Yugoslavia. This was a bit desperate due to high tensions in the Balkans at the time! A huge thunderstorm erupted while we were taxiing out to the runway - all flights were held for 30 minutes until it moved away a little - this didn't stop our plane from suddenly dropping like a stone when it hit an air pocket while we were still climbing clear of the runway.
