Germany 29/08 to 01/09 1992 "Short trip - Short report."

A single manned trip to Germany with the main aims of new track for diesel to Soltau & Uelzen, then a tilt at the 217 diagrams on the Furth Im Wald line as I'd only had ONE so far! Oh, and I would be meeting other members of the roadshow for beers in Bamberg, beer Capital of the world. (New locos again denoted by #)

A rather short trip, I think the lure of another gathering in Bamberg for an evening of superb beer swung me into action, plus the chance to cover some more required track and a few more 217's. I also proved that you can over-doss but still make work the next day (unlike a couple of times previously.....) even if it is straight off the overnight Ferry!
